Abstract

This study develops a warship data communication system by integrating microcontrollers and digital sensors to improve the effectiveness of sending and receiving critical information during operations. The microcontroller acts as the main processor that acquires data from various digital sensors, such as inertial and position sensors, then converts and sends the data via a serial communication protocol that is compatible with the warship system. This integration allows real-time data processing with high accuracy, supporting fast decision making and better monitoring of the condition of the ship and its surroundings. The system is also designed to overcome memory limitations by using external storage such as SD Cards, so that data can be recorded and analyzed thoroughly. Prototype testing shows that the system is able to send and receive data with a very low error rate, and is compatible with modern warship communication standards. The implementation of this technology is expected to improve the safety and efficiency of warship operations through the optimization of reliable and responsive data communications, while supporting the integration of ship control and navigation systems in an integrated manner. This research makes an important contribution to the development of maritime communication technology based on adaptive and efficient microcontrollers and digital sensors.
